Crafted from an original American carriage blanket dating between 1890 and 1920, Secret Garden is a true wearable heirloom. The blanket’s design showcases prominent climbing roses in rich crimson tones, framed by lush green foliage and grounded by a bark-like motif against an earthy, textured background. A striking scarlet border surrounds the motif and continues seamlessly onto the front panels, cuffs, and hemline, creating a dramatic, cohesive frame.
At the collar, a luxurious vintage fox fur is paired with a base of deep red velvet for a sumptuous touch. The coat closes at the front with an ornate, embellished clasp—both decorative and functional—adding to its opulent character.
Inside, the front panels are lined with green velvet, while the main lining is a Greek burnout silk in warm shades of chocolate and cream. The hem of the silk features a fringe of tasseled trim in gold and crimson, finished at the bottom with a band of green velvet for balance and refinement.
The sleeves, made from the solid black sections of the original blanket, are cuffed with a continuation of the rose-patterned panels, blending flawlessly with the coat’s design. Two silk-lined pockets add both beauty and practicality.
