The back of the coat is dynamic and eye-catching, embodying a free-spirited bohemian essence. Its diagonal composition is a kaleidoscope of contrasting motifs: the upper section features a deep floral pattern in rich browns and golden hues, the midsection bursts with zigzag stripes and a vivid pink Greek key design—melding tribal and Art Deco influences—while the bottom panel showcases yellow and purple florals framed by dotted black borders for striking visual contrast.
The sleeves, made from original pieces of the blanket, are solid and strong in design. The motif wraps seamlessly from the back to the front panels of the coat, creating a cohesive, flowing composition. The collar, cuffs, and hemline are trimmed in plush lamb’s wool in moody lavender-grey tones, and the collar is lined in royal purple velvet.
The coat features two silk-lined pockets and a discreet hook-and-eye front closure. Inside, the front panels and bottom liner are crafted from soft gold velvet. The main lining is a pale golden silk with a Chinese motif, trimmed at the base with a braided tassel in shades of pink and green, adding layers of charm and texture.
