The centerpiece of this coat is its striking horse motif—an original element of the antique blanket—now accentuated with intricate, hand-sewn gemstone beading by St. Helena Jewelry. Natural stones such as tiger eye, jasper, onyx, and quartz are meticulously placed to enhance the detailing of the horse and the surrounding floral patterns. A fossilized ammonite shell, seamlessly integrated into the beadwork, lends the piece a sense of ancient continuity.
The imagery evokes a serene pastoral scene: a beautifully dappled horse, in hues of caramel and buttery cream, appears to gaze thoughtfully over a rose hedge, against a backdrop of green hills dotted with buttercups.
